Sandy beaches, marshlands and heavily wooded bluffs comprise the peninsula formed by the North East and Elk Rivers, and the Chesapeake Bay, where this park is located. Several trails meander through the diversified topography, revealing the great variety of plant and animal life. An easy walking trail to Turkey Point Lighthouse provides a view of the Elk River and the Chesapeake Bay. Take a park map. (2,188 acres)Features:
Boat launch, cabins, campfire programs, campsites, campstore, dump station, food & beverage, fishing, flatwater canoeing, hiking trails, historic interest, hook-ups, hunting, picnicking, playground, shelters, swimming, visitor center.Pets are allowed at Wye, Susquehanna, St. Martens, Miles, Elk and Choptank camping areas. Pets on a leash may only be taken from the campsite to the park store and back. Pets on a leash are permitted on 3 of the 5 trails. Pets are not permitted at Chester, Bohemia and Sassfrass camping areas, the youth group area and in the day use area of the park, including the beach area.

Check out a copy of the Elk Neck State Park Trail Guide. This trail guide, complete with a topographical map of the hiking and biking trails, is available for sale at park headquarters.
- Day Use Service Charge - Weekends and Holidays April-October ($3 per person); weekdays April-October weekdays ($3 per vehicle). Out-of-state residents add $1.
- Camping - Campgrounds can accommodate 268 camping units: tents, trailers, or motorhomes, with conveniently located washhouses. Seniors (62+) may camp half price, Sunday-Thursday.
- Cabins - Nine 4-person rustic cabins (full size cabins w/2 small bedrooms, dining area, small kitchen w/stove, refrigerator, no bathroom) and five camper cabins (1 room cabins w/electricity, ceiling fan, overhead light, 1 double bed, 1 bunk bed, no bathroom, open air porch/deck) may be rented from May through mid-October.

- Swimming - There are many places in the park where the river is accessible for swimming, including the North East River area. A snack bar offers beach items and souvenirs. THERE ARE NO LIFEGUARDS.
- Boating - Launching ramps at Rogues' Harbor Boat Area.
- Picnicking - Picnic sites are available near the beach area. Picnic pavilions are available for rental.
- Pets - Allowed in some areas on a leash; not permitted in the picnic area.
Elk Neck has several new campsites with full hook-ups that are fully A.D.A. accessible including a sidewalk to an accessible bathhouse. Several sites are available for disabled hunters during shotgun and muzzleloader deer seasons.
